Elliot Lake is a city in northern Ontario located between Lake Huron and the interior forests of the Canadian Shield. The city was originally developed during the mid-twentieth century as a centre for uranium mining.

After the decline of the mining industry the community gradually transitioned toward tourism, retirement living and outdoor recreation. The surrounding lakes and forests provide opportunities for hiking, fishing and seasonal activities.

Today Elliot Lake maintains a smaller population while offering a quiet northern environment and access to natural landscapes.
