Winston Heights-Mountview is a residential area positioned in Calgary’s northeast quadrant. It is geographically marked by 51°04′16″N latitude and 114°00′48″W longitude. The elevation of the neighborhood is about 1,090 meters above sea level. he community is enclosed by 32 Avenue N to the north, Nose Creek and Deerfoot Trail to the east, the Trans-Canada Highway to the south, and Edmonton Trail to the west. It is well-known for its green spaces, including the Fox Hollow Golf Course and The Winston Golf Club on its eastern boundary.

Establishment and Development

Established in 1932, Winston Heights-Mountview saw considerable expansion during the 1950s. The community has put into effect an area redevelopment plan to guide its growth and development.

Demographics

In 2016, the population was recorded at 3,645 residents across 1,735 dwellings. The area covers 3 square kilometers, leading to a density of 1,300 people per square kilometer as of 2012. The median household income for the community in 2016 was $79,822, with 10% of the residents classified as low income. Approximately 19% of the population were immigrants, highlighting the community’s diverse character.
