Mirabel is a city in Quebec located north of Montréal within the Laurentides region. The municipality was formed through the amalgamation of several smaller communities and covers a large geographic area that includes both urban and rural landscapes.

The city is widely known for the presence of Montréal–Mirabel International Airport, which was once intended to serve as the primary international airport for Montréal. Although the airport now functions mainly for cargo and aviation activities, it remains a significant landmark within the municipality.

Today Mirabel includes growing residential neighbourhoods, agricultural lands and industrial zones that contribute to the regional economy north of Montréal.
