Location and Geography

Sundance is situated at coordinates 50°54′05″N 114°02′33″W. The community is to the east of Macleod Trail, bordered by Midnapore and Fish Creek Provincial Park to the north and east, and Stoney Trail to the south. Its significant feature, Sundance Lake, adds a recreational and aesthetic appeal to the neighborhood .Established in 1982, the neighborhood is relatively young, with modern amenities and designed for active living. Residents of Sundance enjoy access to the public beach at Sikome Lake, situated within the vast Fish Creek Provincial Park, which is a natural gem in the city of Calgary.

Demographics

The population of Sundance saw a slight decrease from 2011 to 2012, going from 10,623 to 10,499. Despite this minor decline, the community maintains a population density consistent with suburban developments.
