North Battleford is a city in Saskatchewan located along the North Saskatchewan River opposite the neighbouring city of Battleford. Together the two communities form an important regional centre in the northwestern part of the province.
The area developed historically as a trading post and administrative centre during the settlement of the Canadian Prairies. Agriculture, transportation and regional services helped support the growth of the city throughout the twentieth century.
Today North Battleford provides healthcare, education and commercial services for surrounding communities across northwestern Saskatchewan.
