Brossard is a city located on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River directly across from Montréal in the province of Quebec. It forms part of the Longueuil urban agglomeration and is closely integrated with the Greater Montréal metropolitan area through bridges, highways and public transit connections.
The city is known for its diverse population and modern urban development. Residential neighbourhoods, shopping centres and business districts have grown steadily since the second half of the twentieth century as Montréal expanded across the river. One of the most prominent commercial destinations in the area is Quartier DIX30, a large mixed-use development combining retail, entertainment and office space.
Brossard also plays an important role in regional transportation networks, with rapid transit connections linking the city directly to Montréal. Its strategic location and strong infrastructure continue to attract residents and businesses to the south shore.
