Auburn Bay Lake is a private, man-made recreational lake that serves as the centrepiece of the Auburn Bay residential community. Spanning 43 acres, the lake offers residents exclusive access to a sandy beach, paddle sports, swimming areas, and fishing zones. In winter, it transforms into a hub for ice skating and hockey. The Auburn Bay Residents Association manages activities and facilities around the lake, which also include playgrounds, BBQ pits, and clubhouses. Though not open to the general public, the lake is a defining feature of the neighbourhood and a model for community-based recreation in Calgary.
