Cambridge is a city located in the province of Ontario within the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. It forms part of a larger urban area together with the neighbouring cities of Kitchener and Waterloo.
The city was created through the amalgamation of several historic communities including Galt, Preston and Hespeler. Each of these former towns contributed distinct architectural and cultural elements that remain visible in different parts of the city.
Cambridge today includes residential neighbourhoods, industrial areas and commercial districts that support a diverse local economy. Its location along the Grand River also adds natural landscapes and parks throughout the city.
